The LCP II is a recoil-operated, hammer-fired micro pistol chambered in .380 ACP with a 2.75 in barrel and 6+1 capacity. It measures approximately 5.17 in long, 3.71 in high, and 0.91 in wide, with an unloaded weight around 10.6 oz. The barrel is marked "380 AUTO," and the slide/frame are marked "RUGER • PRESCOTT, AZ • USA."
Ruger’s Secure Action internal hammer drives a single-action-style trigger that is short and crisp, paired with an integral trigger safety. The design includes last-round slide hold-open and a left-side push-button magazine release. There is no external manual safety and no external slide-release lever.
The build centers on a through-hardened alloy-steel slide with a blued finish and an alloy-steel barrel. A one-piece aluminum fire-control chassis with integral rails is housed inside a glass-filled nylon grip frame. Molded grip panels feature the Ruger phoenix logo for a consistent purchase.
Sights are fixed and integral: a ramped front blade and a square-notch rear. Front and rear slide serrations aid manipulation. The pistol accepts Ruger LCP-pattern six-round magazines; original LCP magazines will not actuate the slide lock on empty.
