The TX22 is a full-size .22 LR platform built around a striker-fired, single-action-only, simple blowback system. Taurus equips it with the Performance Trigger System (PTS) featuring a central safety blade for a consistent trigger pull and integrated safety.
Controls and safety features include an ambidextrous manual safety, a trigger safety, and a striker block. The frame has molded textured grip panels with the Taurus bull logo for a secure hold.
Sight setup consists of a fixed front blade and a fully adjustable rear sight for both windage and elevation. Front and rear slide serrations aid in manipulation, and a MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail on the dustcover supports light or laser attachment.
Construction pairs a black polymer frame with a 7075 aluminum slide finished in black hard-coat anodize. The pistol measures 7.06 inches in overall length, 5.44 inches in height, and 1.25 inches in width, with an unloaded weight of 17.3 oz.
