Built in the USA on forged carbon-steel slide and frame, this Operator wears a two-tone finish: a black slide over an OD-green frame (Armory Kote/Cerakote). The slide is marked "OPERATOR CAL .45" and carries Springfield Armory markings and crossed-cannons crest, with "S.A. .45AUTO" on the barrel hood. The pistol carries an NM-prefix serial.
The 5 in match-grade stainless barrel is bushing-fit, paired with a GI-style recoil system using the standard bushing and plug. Front and rear cocking serrations aid manipulation, and the Government-length format maintains classic 1911 handling.
Controls are configured for confident operation: a beavertail grip safety with memory pad, extended left-side thumb safety, checkered magazine release, a flat checkered mainspring housing, and a smooth frontstrap. The trigger is a skeletonized, three-hole, aluminum unit in medium length, working with a skeletonized commander-style hammer. Low-profile, dovetailed three-dot iron sights provide a clean sight picture.
An integral 3-slot Picatinny accessory rail with a short/half dustcover adds mounting flexibility. This example is outfitted with aftermarket textured G10-style grip panels in a green/black pattern, and it includes spare black checkered panels with Springfield Armory medallions. The MC Operator line is associated with USMC CQBP evaluations (PX9105ML family). Capacity is 8+1 with the included magazine.
