Built on a U.S. Remington Model 03-A3 receiver marked "U.S. REMINGTON MODEL 03-A3," this rifle traces to late-1943 production by serial range. It is chambered in .30-06 (barrel stamped "30-06") and uses the standard internal magazine with a hinged floorplate. Barrel and receiver are blued, while the bolt body and extractor are left bright.
The 26-inch heavy target barrel with a recessed crown is set up for precision work. The longer, rigid profile is paired with a clean, mirror-finished bore and sharp rifling to support consistent match performance.
Sighting is handled by a receiver-left micrometer aperture rear sight with click adjustments and a clamp-on hooded globe front sight. This match-style iron sight set offers fine control for target and position shooting.
The laminated hardwood target stock features a wide beavertail fore-end and an integrated accessory rail with an adjustable aluminum hand-stop/palm-rest. A large rear sling loop supports position work, and the length of pull measures 13 inches.
At the rear, a Freeland-design butt assembly incorporates an aluminum guide/plate and a ribbed "Sure Grip" butt pad made by the Herscho Co., L.A., Calif., Freeland design. White-line spacers complete the stock fitment.
