    What’s Included

    • Ruger Mini-14 owner's manual
    • Detachable box magazine (5-round)
    • Detachable box magazine (30-round, curved)

The 186-Series Mini-14 is the standard non-Ranch configuration with a smooth receiver top and a fixed, receiver-mounted adjustable aperture rear sight. Up front, it wears a banded sight with protective wings for durability. This configuration keeps the rifle true to the classic Mini-14 layout and sighting system.

The rifle uses Ruger's short-stroke fixed-piston operating system with a rotating bolt, paired with a stainless steel receiver and an 18.5-inch stainless barrel. The muzzle is externally threaded and currently has no device installed. The gas block is secured by four screws and includes an integral forward sling swivel.

Furniture consists of a hardwood stock with a straight comb and an uncheckered grip area, complemented by a black slotted polymer/fiberglass top handguard. A rear sling swivel is fitted, and the detachable box magazine system supports both the included 5-round and 30-round magazines.

Chambered in .223 Remington, Ruger literature notes that Mini-14 rifles (non-Target) are designed for both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO. This example is a 186-Series rifle manufactured in 1993; Ruger serial-number history generally places many 186-Series rifles with an approximate ship year of 1991. It is not the GB variant and therefore lacks a bayonet lug and factory flash suppressor.
