The NMS (no manual safety) variant of the FN 509 provides a clean, striker-fired setup with a trigger safety and fully ambidextrous controls. It ships in a full-size configuration with a polymer frame in black and interchangeable backstraps, and this example has an adhesive grip-tape wrap installed for added traction.
Barrel and slide components are built for durability. The 3.7 inch stainless steel barrel is cold hammer forged and ferritic nitrocarburized, and the slide is nitrided black with front and rear cocking serrations and an external extractor. This pistol is currently fitted with FN's factory compensated barrel kit, and the original non-threaded barrel is included.
Sight setup is upgraded with aftermarket Trijicon sights. The configuration is a fixed 3-dot arrangement with an orange ring front blade and a serrated square-notch rear, offering a clear, fast sight picture.
The dustcover features a MIL-STD-1913 3-slot accessory rail, and the control layout includes ambidextrous slide stop levers and an ambidextrous magazine release. Capacity is 17+1, and two factory double-stack steel magazines are included.
Made in the USA, this pistol corresponds to FN MPN 66-100002. The case label identifies SKU 66-100002 (FN 509 NMS BLK/BLK DS 2X17) matching the pistol’s serial.
