The 1911 Target configuration centers on precision and control. It pairs a 5.0 in match-grade barrel with a solid, smooth-face aluminum match-grade trigger, plus match-grade hammer and sear. The fully adjustable rear target sight with two white dots and white-dot front blade deliver a clean sight picture, with an about 6.5 in sight radius.
Built on a non-railed, full-size stainless-steel frame and slide, both finished in black Nitron, this pistol has de-horned edges for smooth handling. Checkering is cut at 25 LPI on the frontstrap and 20 LPI on the mainspring housing for secure purchase, complemented by checkered rosewood grips with SIG SAUER medallions.
Controls and operating features are straightforward and purpose-driven: single-action operation, a left-side thumb safety, and a beavertail grip safety with memory bump. The slide uses rear serrations only and a lowered/flared ejection port for reliable ejection. A skeletonized commander-style hammer rounds out the target-focused fire-control setup.
This example includes an installed flared magazine-well funnel on the mainspring housing to streamline reloads. Capacity is 8+1 with single-stack 8-round magazines, and the pistol maintains practical dimensions at approximately 8.7 in overall length, 5.5 in height, 1.37–1.4 in width, and 40–41 oz in weight.
