This P239 is a compact, single-stack design chambered in .357 SIG with a 7+1 capacity. It runs a locked-breech Browning-type action and a DA/SA trigger system with a frame-mounted decocking lever. Controls include a left-side magazine release and a spur hammer, with internal safeties such as a firing pin safety, safety intercept notch, and trigger bar disconnector.
The stainless steel slide wears a black finish and uses rear-only serrations for charging. The frame is aluminum alloy with a hard-coat anodized finish and a non-railed dustcover. Textured black polymer grip panels with molded logos provide a straightforward, durable grip.
Sight configuration is fixed 3-dot, with a dovetailed 1-dot front and a dovetailed 2-dot rear. The barrel length is 3.6 inches, and typical capacity in this chambering is 7+1. Two factory steel magazines marked for the P239 .357 SIG are included.
Model, caliber, and origin markings are present: the pistol is marked “SIG SAUER P239,” the barrel hood is marked “.357 SIG,” the frame reads “SIGARMS INC. EXETER-NH-USA,” and the slide is marked “STAINLESS.” The P239 line was produced from 1996 to 2018 and is now discontinued.
