The P226 Elite configuration features an extended beavertail aluminum-alloy frame with checkering on the front strap and under the trigger guard for a secure hold. The integral 1913-style accessory rail has four cross-slots for mounting compatible lights or accessories.
The stainless steel slide wears a Nitron black finish and includes front and rear cocking serrations plus an external extractor. Slide markings read "P226 Elite," and the barrel hood is marked "9mm x 19."
This model uses a traditional DA/SA, hammer-fired action with left-side SIG P-series controls and a decocking lever; there is no manual safety. The hammer is an external, rounded spur design.
Sights are dovetailed iron units: a front blade with a white dot and a square-notch rear. The gray/black honeycomb-pattern composite grip panels are textured and secured with screws. Two Mec-Gar magazines are included, each with witness holes marked 5/10/15.
