The Competitor variant is built on the M&P Metal frame with an 18-degree grip angle and aggressive M2.0 texture. The frame is finished in tungsten gray Cerakote and is molded and marked "COMPETITOR" for ready identification.
A 5-inch stainless steel barrel with Armornite finish pairs with a stainless slide in matching tungsten gray. The slide is optic cut and includes forward and rear serrations, a top lightening window, and side lightening cuts. A flared magwell is installed.
Controls are set up for speed and adaptability: an oversized, reversible magazine release, ambidextrous slide stop levers, and a flat-face, hinged trigger with an enhanced sear. There is a hinged trigger safety and no manual thumb safety.
Sighting equipment includes a green fiber-optic front and a serrated black square-notch rear. A Picatinny accessory rail on the dustcover supports compatible accessories. The case label confirms the 5-inch barrel and SKU 13199.
