The Stainless Target II follows the Government-pattern 1911 format with a 5-inch bushing barrel and full-size frame, delivering classic proportions in durable stainless steel. Both the slide and frame wear a matte stainless finish, and the pistol is manufactured in the USA in Yonkers, New York.
Sight regulation is a strong point: a dovetailed red fiber-optic front sight combines with a fully adjustable, dovetailed rear target sight for precise elevation and windage tuning. The slide also features front and rear cocking serrations for confident manipulation and a lowered, flared ejection port to aid reliable ejection.
The fire-control setup includes a skeletonized, three-hole aluminum trigger and a commander-style lightened hammer. It is a single-action, semi-automatic 1911 with Series II Swartz-type firing pin block, complemented by a beavertail grip safety with memory bump and a single-side manual thumb safety. A standard magazine release rounds out the familiar 1911 control layout.
Grip and frame details include double-diamond checkered wooden grips with the Kimber logo, a checkered metal mainspring housing, and a smooth frontstrap. Capacity is 8+1 with single-stack magazines, and this pistol ships with both an 8-round and a 7-round mag.
