What’s Included

- 4x 30-round magazines (Magpul PMAG polymer and USGI-type aluminum, as shown)
The 16.10 in cold hammer-forged barrel is made from 4140 chrome-moly steel and finished in black oxide. Its 1:8 RH twist stabilizes a broad range of bullet weights, and the 1/2x28 muzzle threads come fitted with a factory A2 flash suppressor. The carbine-length gas system uses a pinned, F-height front sight base for durable alignment and reliable operation.
The receiver set is forged 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard-coat anodized finish. The upper features a flat-top Picatinny rail, forward assist, ejection port cover, and brass deflector. Markings include the Ruger phoenix logo and "RUGER MAYODAN, NC USA." The front sight base shows forging code "H."
Sights are a classic A2-style fixed front (elevation-adjustable) paired with a Ruger Rapid Deploy flip-up rear (windage-adjustable). The handguard is a two-piece, ribbed, carbine-length unit made from glass-filled nylon. Controls include a manual safety, and the upper’s rail provides a straightforward mounting surface if you choose to add optics or accessories later.
Internals are built for longevity, with a bolt carrier group using a 9310 steel bolt and an 8620 carrier. The carrier’s internal diameters are chrome plated, and the gas key is properly staked. Overall length is approximately 32.25 to 35.50 in with the six-position collapsible stock, and weight is about 6.5 lb. Standard capacity is 30+1 in 5.56mm NATO.
