The trigger system is double-action/single-action with a frame-mounted safety/decocker for familiar control. Additional safety features include a magazine disconnect and a firing pin block. An external spurred hammer offers clear visual and tactile status, and capacity is 10+1.
Sighting is fast and flexible with a fixed white-dot front sight and a screw-adjustable rear sight that is user-reversible, allowing you to choose your preferred notch style. Both sights are dovetailed. The slide includes front and rear cocking serrations and an open-top ejection port.
Ergonomics are supported by interchangeable grip sleeves, and a three-slot accessory rail is integrated into the dust cover for mounting compatible lights or lasers. The slide is marked "RUGER - PRESCOTT, AZ USA," and this example is U.S.-made with a 2014 manufacture year.
