The Mark II Standard (catalog MK-6) features a 6-inch tapered barrel with a recessed crown and a non-threaded muzzle. The fixed iron sights include a ramped, pinned front blade and a fixed square-notch rear, providing a clean, dependable sight picture.
Its one-piece tubular receiver houses a cylindrical bolt with top ejection and rear grasping ears. The pistol uses a simple blowback action with a single-action trigger. A heel-type magazine latch is used, consistent with the Standard configuration.
Construction is all-steel with a blued finish on the frame and receiver. Grips are black checkered synthetic with Ruger medallions. Capacity is 10+1, and the pistol includes a true last-round bolt hold-open.
This example is United States-made and dates to 1984 production within the Mark II series run of 1982–2005. It is the fixed-sight Standard configuration designated by Ruger as MK-6.
