This Platypus is the commander-length submodel with a 4.25 inch bull, bushingless barrel for added muzzle weight and consistent lockup. The slide is machined with front and rear cocking serrations and a lightening window, and it is optic-cut for the RMR/SRO footprint. Factory configuration pairs a fiber-optic front with a plain rear notch on the optic plate.
The pistol follows a 1911 platform with single-action-only operation. Controls include an ambidextrous thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with a memory bump. It features a curved, skeletonized trigger and a skeletonized commander-style hammer.
Capacity is 17+1 using Glock 17–pattern magazines, and this example includes twelve 17-round Glock factory magazines. The frame incorporates a flared magwell for quick insertion, a square trigger guard, aggressive "prickle"-style grip texturing, and an accessory rail.
Finished in matte black and CNC-built in Celina, Ohio, the pistol is marked PLATYPUS on the slide and STEALTH ARMS CELINA OH USA on the frame. The Platypus line was introduced circa 2023 and this example reflects that recent-production design with Glock magazine compatibility and optics-readiness.
