This PT 58 S uses a straight-blowback system with a fixed 4 inch steel barrel, paired with an open-top slide. The blued finish complements the aluminum alloy frame, keeping weight to about 29 oz while maintaining a sturdy feel.
The DA/SA action is managed by an external spur hammer and an ambidextrous, frame-mounted safety/decocker. A loaded chamber indicator and indicator pin on the slide provide clear status at a glance. The left-side, push-button magazine release is checkered for positive control.
The sighting system is a practical 3-dot setup: a fixed integral front blade with an orange dot and a drift-adjustable rear square-notch with two dots in a dovetail. These sights are easy to pick up and allow simple windage adjustment at the rear.
Ergonomics include vertical serrations on the frontstrap and backstrap, plus a squared trigger guard with front serrations.
