The Shield EZ M2.0 platform is built around an internal hammer-fired single-action system engineered for smooth operation and an easy-to-rack slide. EZ grasp wings and front and rear slide serrations enhance control during charging and administrative handling, while the tactile, top-mounted loaded-chamber indicator provides immediate status at a glance and by feel.
Safety features include an ambidextrous manual thumb safety and a grip safety. The pistol is marked "CAUTION: Capable of firing with magazine removed," indicating there is no magazine disconnect. Steel three-dot sights with a windage-adjustable rear are durable and straightforward.
Durability comes from a stainless steel slide and 3.675 in stainless steel barrel, both with an Armornite finish. The polymer frame features the M2.0 grip texture and an 18° grip angle for a natural point of aim. A three-slot Picatinny-style accessory rail on the dustcover supports common compact lights or training accessories.
With an overall length of 6.8 in, height of 5.05 in, width of approximately 1.04–1.05 in, and an unloaded weight of about 23.2 oz, this compact 9mm balances concealability and shootability. The single-stack design yields an 8+1 capacity and comes with two stainless steel magazines.
