- Smith & Wesson Model 36-7 LadySmith .38 Special revolver
The 36-7 engineering revision is stamped in the yoke cut, confirming this later evolution of the classic Model 36. It carries the factory "Lady smith" script on the left side of the frame, the S&W trademark crest on the right, and barrel rollmarks reading ".38 S.&W. SPL." and "SMITH & WESSON."
Built on a pre-lock J-frame, this revolver uses blued steel throughout and a 2-inch snub-nose barrel. The ejector rod is unshrouded with a knurled tip for positive purchase, and the 5-shot cylinder is fluted with counterclockwise rotation.
Controls are set up for practical operation with an exposed, checkered hammer spur for DA/SA use and a checkered cylinder latch. Sights are fixed, combining a serrated ramp front and a topstrap square-notch rear for a clear, no-snag sight picture.
Ergonomics are enhanced by a one-piece, wraparound molded rubber grip with finger grooves that fills the hand and helps maintain a stable hold on the compact frame.
