The steel receiver wears a durable matte black/phosphate finish, and the rifle is made in the USA. The receiver heel is marked "US RIFLE M1A SPRINGFIELD ARMORY," and the right-side cover is marked "SOCOM 16 CQB."
Built on the Archangel USA CQB composite chassis, this rifle provides modern ergonomics with a telescoping stock, adjustable cheek piece, and multiple sling sockets. The Archangel pistol grip offers a secure, vertical hold. Length of pull is user-adjustable from 11.5 to 14.5 inches to fit different shooters and kit.
Mounting options are extensive. The barrel-mounted forward scout Picatinny rail supports low-profile accessories, while the Archangel CQB modular forend includes M-LOK interfaces and bolt-on Picatinny rail segments already installed. A micro red-dot adapter plate is installed on the receiver in the Vortex Venom pattern and fits a Vortex Venom or any compatible optics.
The action is semi-automatic, gas-operated with a rotating bolt, and uses a right-side charging handle. Sights include an adjustable ghost-ring rear aperture with an XS front post for fast, precise alignment. Capacity is 20+1 with the included detachable magazines.
