The CZ 712 Utility G2 is a gas-operated 12 gauge semi-auto built around a lightweight alloy receiver and a durable, chrome-lined barrel with a matte black hard-chrome exterior. This variant pairs a maneuverable 20 inch barrel and synthetic furniture with a 3 inch chamber and a versatile choke system. It includes a full set of five choke tubes and an extra piston, and represents the G2 series that concluded in 2023 before the 712 G3 succeeded it.

This Utility G2 variant features a 20 inch barrel, synthetic stock and forend, and a matte black finish. It is gas-operated with a cross-bolt safety and a 14.0 inch length of pull. Capacity is 2+1 as configured, and the chamber is 3 inches for 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells.
The barrel is chrome-lined with a matte black hard-chrome exterior for durability. It has a ventilated rib with a single front bead and is threaded for chokes. The included set of five choke tubes (F, IM, M, IC, C) and the choke tool support quick, adaptable patterning.
The lightweight alloy receiver and synthetic furniture keep weight down while the molded texture and rubber buttpad provide a secure shoulder and consistent control. The forend is synthetic to match the stock, and the overall finish is matte black.
