The Buntline Scout variant is defined by its long 9.5-inch steel barrel and full-length under-barrel ejector rod housing. This six-shot fluted-cylinder revolver is marked on the barrel with "COLT SINGLE ACTION BUNTLINE SCOUT .22 L.R." and carries the Rampant Colt logo on the frame.
Construction combines a dark anodized alloy frame with blued steel for the barrel, cylinder, and ejector assembly. The revolver wears checkered black composition grips with Colt medallions, and uses fixed sights: a blade front and an integral rear notch in the topstrap.
