This full-size P227 is built on an aluminum alloy frame with a black hard-coat anodized finish paired to a Nitron slide. The slide carries rear serrations and tritium 3-dot sights, with the rear marked "MH3 AN." The one-piece wraparound textured polymer grip provides a solid hold on the double-column .45 ACP frame.
The action is a semi-automatic, locked-breech short-recoil system with a DA/SA, curved trigger and a decocking lever. Controls include a left-side magazine release and an exposed spurred hammer, consistent with the P-series layout.
An integral multi-slot Picatinny accessory rail is machined into the dust cover for mounting compatible lights or lasers. The 4.4-inch barrel balances duty-length performance with manageable overall length.
Capacity is 10+1 rounds of .45 ACP using double-stack steel magazines marked "MADE IN ITALY." This USA-made model was introduced in 2013 and discontinued circa 2019, giving it added appeal for buyers who want a high-capacity .45 in the classic Sig DA/SA format.
