This P226 Extreme is a full-size 9mm built on an aluminum-alloy beavertail frame with a black hard-anodized finish and a Nitron-finished steel slide. It is configured in DA/SA with a decocker, a curved trigger, an external hammer spur, and a left-side magazine release.
The slide features front and rear cocking serrations and is rollmarked "SIG SAUER P226." The frame is marked "SIG SAUER INC. EXETER-NH-USA." A three-slot M1913 accessory rail is integrated into the dust cover for mounting compatible lights or lasers.
Factory SIGLITE 3-dot tritium night sights are installed, with sights marked "MH3." The front sight is height code 8, and the rear is a tritium unit, providing a consistent, duty-grade sight picture.
