The Mark III Practical variant pairs a black slide with a satin silver steel frame for a clean, two-tone look. This example carries the MX date code for 2003 and the correct factory rollmarks: Browning Arms Company, Morgan, Utah & Montreal P.Q., and Made in Belgium / Assembled in Portugal.
Chambered in 9mm Luger, it uses a 4.625 inch barrel and a 10+1 capacity. Two factory-pattern 10-round magazines are included, each with witness holes and polymer base pads for easy handling.
The pistol operates on a short-recoil, locked-breech system with single-action only trigger. It includes an ambidextrous manual thumb safety, a firing pin safety, and a left-side magazine release. The ring (rowel) hammer is correct for the model.
Ergonomics and handling are enhanced by wrap-around black rubber grips with molded checkering, Signature Model panels, and Browning deer-head medallions. The slide features an external extractor and an enlarged ejection port for reliable cycling.
Sight acquisition is straightforward with fixed 3-dot sights: a white-dot front and a two-dot rear. This configuration complements the Practical variant’s purpose-driven feature set while preserving the classic Hi-Power profile.
