The 22/45 Lite configuration combines a ventilated, clear anodized (silver) aluminum upper with longitudinal flutes and four round lightening ports per side. The barrel is a tensioned stainless steel unit measuring 4.40 inches, threaded 1/2x28 TPI, and supplied with a thread protector.
The action is a semi-automatic blowback design with a fixed barrel and internal cylindrical bolt. Controls include a push-button magazine release and a manual thumb safety. The single-action trigger is upgraded with a Volquartsen MK IV Competition unit, with the original factory trigger included.
Iron sights consist of a fixed front blade and an adjustable rear. A top Picatinny accessory rail is installed. The 22/45 grip geometry mirrors the 1911 angle, with checkered 1911-style grip panels bearing the Ruger logo.
