The Standard (R) configuration omits iron sights and pairs a 22-inch blued, unthreaded sporter-profile barrel with a blued steel receiver. The receiver is cut with Ruger’s integral scope-mount dovetails.
The action is controlled-round feed with a full-length external claw extractor. It feeds from an internal box magazine with a 4+1 capacity and uses a hinged floorplate; the floorplate release is located inside the trigger guard. A three-position wing safety is mounted on the bolt shroud.
The walnut stock features a pistol-grip profile with machine checkering, a black grip cap with Ruger medallion, and a black rubber buttpad with the Ruger logo. Factory sling-swivel studs are installed, and the length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
Chambered in 6mm Rem., this example represents a less-common option within the M77 Mark II lineup. It was manufactured in 1999 and retains the classic blued finish across the barrel and receiver, with the ring bottoms installed on the integral dovetails.
