The top strap is factory drilled and tapped with a plug screw, and the revolver accepts .44 Special in addition to .44 Magnum.

It is a six-shot, double-action/single-action revolver with an exposed hammer, a smooth-face trigger, and checkering on the cylinder latch and hammer spur for confident manipulation.
The 6.5 inch heavy-profile barrel carries a full-length underlug and a serrated top rib. Sight regulation is straightforward with the interchangeable pinned red ramp front sight and an adjustable rear sight, providing a clear and durable sight picture.
The top strap is factory drilled and tapped and fitted with a plug screw. The revolver includes an internal key lock safety feature and comes with a one-piece black synthetic grip adorned with S&W medallions.
