Built around the proven direct-impingement system, the M5E1 uses a rifle-length gas tube for smoother cycling and reduced felt recoil. The 20-inch barrel’s 1:10 twist stabilizes a wide range of .308 Winchester and 7.62 NATO loads, while the 5/8-24 threaded muzzle is ready for brakes or suppressors.
The enhanced upper eliminates the forward assist for a streamlined profile. Its integrated barrel-nut/handguard interface adds strength and simplifies assembly, and the continuous Picatinny top rail lines up perfectly from receiver to handguard for uninterrupted optic or accessory placement.
A 15-inch free-float aluminum handguard offers full-length M-LOK slots for mounting lights, bipods, or other gear without adding bulk. The rifle-length fixed stock delivers a 14-inch length of pull that suits most shooters and maintains a classic, solid feel.
Maintenance is simplified by threaded bolt-catch and takedown detent recesses, while the black anodized finish on 7075-T6 aluminum receivers resists corrosion and hard use. Standard controls, including a manual safety and magazine release, keep operation familiar and intuitive.
