The M1911-A1 FS Rock Standard follows the Series 70 pattern with a single-action, short-recoil operated system and a standard bushing/plug recoil setup. It uses the classic single-stack 1911 magazine system and has an 8+1 capacity in .45 ACP.
Construction is centered on a 4140 ordnance steel frame paired with a Government-length 5-inch barrel and slide. Practical features include rear cocking serrations only and a lowered and flared ejection port for consistent case clearance. The pistol has a left-side manual thumb safety and a grip safety.
Controls and handling are enhanced with a skeletonized, three-hole trigger and a skeletonized commander-style (rowel) hammer. The smooth hardwood grip panels provide a traditional feel, and the fixed sights are dovetailed: a front post and a low-profile, square-notch rear.
Markings and origin details include import stamps reading APINTL-PAHRUMP NV, PHILIPPINES, a barrel hood marked "CAL. 45 ACP," and a frame marked "M 1911-A1 FS." This Rock Standard FS configuration does not include an accessory rail.
