The Model 770 action uses a three-lug bolt with a 60-degree lift for smooth operation, paired with a two-position safety. The receiver is a closed-top design with an elongated ejection port and is roll-marked "Remington MODEL 770."
The 22-inch barrel is carbon steel with a sporter contour and a recessed crown. It is unthreaded and finished in matte bluing to match the receiver.
The black synthetic stock features a straight comb, textured grip and forend panels, and a rubber recoil pad. Length of pull measures 13.0 inches, and the stock includes an integral front sling swivel stud.
This rifle has no iron sights and comes with two-piece Weaver-style bases installed on the receiver. The barrel is marked "MAYFIELD, KY," and the receiver carries the Remington "REP" proof. The design uses a detachable box magazine system (standard .308 capacity 4 rounds), and the Model 770 was discontinued in 2019 in the United States.
