Marked 642-2 on the yoke cut, this Airweight pairs an aluminum-alloy frame with a matte stainless-steel barrel and cylinder for a durable, compact carry-friendly package. It is built on the J-frame Centennial pattern with an enclosed, internal hammer and a double-action-only trigger system.
The 1.875-inch stainless barrel uses an integral serrated ramp front sight, and the rear sight is a fixed groove. The revolver retains a matte silver/stainless finish throughout and wears black synthetic boot-style grips with S&W medallions.
Chambering is .38 Special +P, with the barrel clearly marked ".38 S&W SPL +P." Capacity is five rounds, consistent with the J-frame design.
An internal key lock is present, with the keyhole visible above the cylinder latch. Manufacture is USA.
