What’s Included
- Colt Police Positive First Issue .32 S&W Long revolver (4-inch, blued)
As a First Issue Police Positive, this revolver retains the early pattern features: a six-shot fluted cylinder, a 4-inch round barrel with a knurled ejector rod head, and no ejector shroud. The topstrap is smooth (non-serrated), and the barrel is correctly roll-marked "POLICE POSITIVE .32 POLICE CTG." consistent with the .32 S&W Long chambering.
Fixed iron sights include a half-moon front blade and a rear notch integral to the topstrap for a clean, durable sight picture. The left side of the frame carries the Rampant Colt logo, and the grips are the period-correct checkered black hard-rubber panels with the COLT oval and fleur-de-lis.
Mechanically, it is a double-action/single-action revolver with an exposed hammer and Colt’s Positive Lock internal hammer-block safety, designed to prevent discharge unless the trigger is deliberately pulled. The revolver is dated 1917, with the serial number range aligning to 1916 production.
The carbon steel frame, cylinder, and barrel wear a factory blued finish that complements the classic service profile. Made in the USA, this full-size .32 S&W Long Police Positive reflects the design and build quality of its era and remains a solid representation of Colt’s early 20th-century service revolvers.
