The 1927A-1 Deluxe Carbine uses a semi-automatic, closed-bolt blowback action chambered in .45 ACP. Its machined steel receiver wears a blued finish and carries authentic Thompson-style rollmarks, including the top bullet Trade Mark logo. The Greeley, Pennsylvania address indicates post-2015 production.
Barrel configuration is true to the Thompson look: a 16.5 inch finned barrel with a pinned Cutts-type compensator. The compensator bears the Thompson bullet logo with Trade Mark and U.S. patent office markings. The barrel uses a 1:16 twist to stabilize common .45 ACP loads.
Controls and handling features include a top-mounted, knurled charging handle and a manual safety. Sights are iron: a blade front and an adjustable ladder rear set in a protective base. The rifle measures about 41 inches overall, has a length of pull of 17.0 inches, and weighs roughly 13 pounds unloaded.
Classic walnut furniture completes the package: a fixed stock with a walnut pistol grip and a walnut vertical foregrip with finger grooves. The carbine accepts Thompson-pattern stick and drum magazines and is listed with a 50+1 capacity.
