This German-made HK USP40 Variant 1 is an early-production .40 S&W pistol with the HK "KE" (1994) date code and Ulm proof marks. It features the classic V1 control layout with DA/SA operation, manual safety/decocker, and ambidextrous paddle magazine release. The pistol retains its Hostile Environment blued slide finish and fiber-reinforced polymer frame, and comes with a strong magazine package and original HK-branded soft case.

Built on HK’s proven USP platform, this full-size .40 S&W pairs a 4.25 in cold hammer-forged barrel with polygonal rifling and a short-recoil, Browning-type tilting barrel system. The slide includes rear serrations and an external extractor, while the frame uses fiber-reinforced polymer for durability and balanced weight.
The Variant 1 configuration delivers DA/SA operation with a left-side manual safety and decocker, plus an ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release. A loaded chamber indicator and fixed 3-dot sights with green dots (blade front and square-notch rear) round out the duty-ready controls and sighting system.
Proofed in Germany, this example bears the eagle over N nitro proof, Ulm stag-horn proof, and the HK two-letter "KE" (1994) date code, along with the Heckler & Koch, Inc., Sterling, VA import mark. The slide, barrel, and frame plate carry matching serial numbers, reinforcing its completeness.
Dimensions and capacity are true to the USP40: 7.68 in overall length, 5.31 in height, 1.26 in width, and approximately 29.1 oz with magazine. Standard capacity is 13+1 in .40 S&W, and this pistol includes seven 13-round magazines. The integrated accessory rail on the frame provides mounting capability for compatible add-ons if desired.
