This M1A is the Standard 22-inch configuration with the proven M14-pattern short-stroke gas system, operating rod, and rotating bolt. The metal components wear a parkerized matte finish, paired with a full-length wood stock and a brown, non-vented ribbed polymer top handguard.
The rifle uses GI-style iron sights: a wing-protected front post and a rear aperture with click-adjustable windage and elevation. At the muzzle is a GI-style slotted flash suppressor retained by a castle nut. The barrel is stamped ".308."
The stock is non-pistol-grip and fitted with a steel buttplate that includes a trapdoor compartment, along with integral sling swivels. Length of pull is 13.25 inches.
The action is semi-automatic, gas-operated with a short-stroke piston and rotating bolt. It uses a detachable steel box magazine interface and includes one 20-round magazine for a 20+1 capacity.
