The New Model Super Blackhawk is a single-action .44 Magnum built on Ruger’s robust stainless-steel construction. This example wears a uniform satin stainless finish across the barrel, frame, and unfluted cylinder, paired with a 10.5-inch barrel and a full-length ejector-rod housing.
Ergonomics are classic Super Blackhawk with the Dragoon-style grip frame and square-back trigger guard. It includes two-piece hardwood grip panels with silver Ruger eagle medallions and a wide, checkered hammer spur for sure cocking control.
Sighting equipment consists of a ramped front blade and a fully adjustable square-notch rear sight, giving a clear sight picture and easy elevation and windage adjustments with iron sights.
As a New Model, it uses the transfer-bar safety system and a spring-loaded base pin latch. Rollmarks include the New Model transfer-bar safety reference and a barrel warning referencing Southport, Conn., U.S.A. This revolver was manufactured in 1983 in the United States.
