The V7 configuration pairs Daniel Defense's mid-length gas system with a 16 inch government-profile barrel made from chrome-moly vanadium steel. The barrel is cold hammer forged, chrome lined, and threaded 1/2x28, delivering durability and broad compatibility with standard 5.56mm/223 muzzle devices.
The MFR 15.0 free-float handguard is 6061-T6 aluminum and marked with U.S. Pat. 7,716,685. It provides a continuous T-marked Picatinny top rail and M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, giving ample space for mounting accessories. A Daniel Defense vertical foregrip is already installed.
Receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard-coat anodized finish. The upper is marked "DDM4V7," while the lower is marked "Daniel Defense – Black Creek, GA, U.S.A. – Model DDM4 – Cal. MULTI." The lower includes a flared magazine well and an integrated rear QD socket. Controls include a SAFE/SEMI selector legend, with forward assist and ejection-port cover present.
The rifle retains factory Daniel Defense furniture, including the adjustable polymer stock with QD sling sockets and overmold panels, and the Daniel Defense overmold pistol grip. The bolt carrier is marked with the "D" logo. An aftermarket three-port muzzle brake/compensator replaces the factory flash suppressor.
This example is full-size on the AR-15 platform and is chambered in 5.56mm NATO with a 1:7 twist for a wide range of bullet weights. Capacity is 32+1 and one 32-round magazine is included. Sights are not included.
