It uses a delayed-blowback, striker-fired system and carries 21+1 rounds while weighing 21.9 oz with an empty magazine. The slide is cut for direct-mount micro-optics using the Shield footprint and ships with adapter plates, while steel iron sights come installed. Made in the USA, this Compact model has its own frame and slide geometry distinct from the full-size Rock.

Built around a delayed-blowback, striker-fired action, the 5.7 Rock Compact is configured for reliable function with the 5.7x28mm cartridge. The 416 stainless steel slide wears a black QPQ finish and features front and rear cocking serrations for positive manipulation. Steel iron sights are installed from the factory, and the slide accepts Glock-style iron sights.
The 4.3 in fluted barrel is made from carbon steel and finished in QPQ. It is non-threaded and cut with a 1:9 twist. The combination of fluting and QPQ treatment contributes to a durable, easy-to-clean barrel assembly.
Controls are straightforward and modern: a smooth-faced trigger with an integral safety blade works with an internal striker block, and the magazine catch is reversible/ambidextrous. The black polymer frame includes textured grip panels with the PSA logo and a two-slot Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover.
Capacity is 21+1 using the included steel magazines, while overall weight is 21.9 oz with an empty magazine and slide length is 7.4 in. The slide is cut for direct-mount micro-optics using the Shield footprint and arrives with a cover plate installed; adapter plates are included in the box.
