The P229 compact platform pairs an aluminum-alloy, hard-coat anodized frame with a stainless steel slide marked "STAINLESS" and finished in black. Rear slide serrations aid manipulation, and the legacy non-railed frame preserves the classic P229 profile. The exposed spur hammer, curved smooth-face trigger, and left-side magazine release provide a familiar control layout.
Chambered in .357 SIG, this pistol uses a locked-breech, tilting-barrel system with SIG's modified Browning cam. The 3.9-inch barrel and fixed 3-dot sights (dovetailed front post and rear square-notch) support confident aiming. Its double-stack detachable box magazine design provides a 10+1 capacity with the included magazines.
The German-made frame is clearly marked "FRAME MADE IN GERMANY" and bears "SIGARMS INC., EXETER-NH-USA" assembly/import markings. The installed black wraparound rubber finger-groove grips add hand-filling purchase while maintaining the compact size that defines the P229.
