The Model 10-10 is a fixed-sight K-frame revolver chambered in .38 Special, identified on the yoke cut as "MOD. 10-10" and rollmarked on the barrel ".38 S.&W. SPECIAL CTG." It features a six-shot fluted cylinder and an unshrouded ejector rod, staying true to the classic service configuration.
This example uses a 4-inch heavy barrel and a matte topstrap for a clean sighting plane. The blued carbon steel frame, cylinder, and barrel give it a uniform, traditional finish. Approximate unloaded weight for a 4-inch K-frame Model 10 is about 34 oz.
Sight equipment is straightforward and durable: a ramped, serrated front sight paired with a fixed rear notch. Controls include a smooth trigger, an exposed hammer with a checkered spur, and a checkered cylinder latch.
It is from the pre-MIM hammer/trigger era associated with the 10-10 engineering change. The installed aftermarket black rubber finger-groove grips provide a secure hold on this full-size revolver.
Made in the United States, this Model 10-10 Heavy Barrel presents a clean, well-cared-for example of a proven design in excellent condition.
