This recent-production Zastava ZPAPM70 stands out for its robust Serbian build and thoughtful configuration. It uses a 1.5 mm stamped receiver with an RPK-style bulged front trunnion and a cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined 16.25 in barrel with a threaded muzzle and AKM-style slant brake. The rifle is set up with an AR-15 pattern carbine receiver extension wearing a Magpul MOE Carbine stock in FDE and a Magpul MOE AK pistol grip, pairing durability with an adjustable fit.

Built in Serbia by Zastava Arms, this ZPAPM70 uses a stamped AK-pattern receiver reinforced with a bulged front trunnion and the ZPAP line’s 1.5 mm receiver. Import marks include ZASTAVA ARMS USA DES PLAINES IL and ZASTAVA ARMS MADE IN SERBIA, with markings present on the left side of the receiver. The serial number is also marked on the bolt carrier.
The 16.25 in barrel is cold hammer-forged and chrome-lined for durability and ease of maintenance. It is threaded at the muzzle and fitted with an AKM-style slant brake. The rifle operates via a semi-automatic, long-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt and uses a manual safety.
This example is customized with an AR-15 pattern carbine receiver extension secured by a castle nut. It wears a Magpul MOE Carbine stock in FDE with an adjustable length of pull measuring 13.0 in, and a Magpul MOE AK pistol grip. A black polymer handguard completes the furniture set.
Sighting equipment includes a hooded front sight post and an AK tangent rear sight graduated 1-10. The receiver has no left-side optics rail. Capacity is 30+1, and one 30-round polymer Magpul PMAG AK/AKM MOE magazine is included.
