The compact profile maintains reliable function with the enlarged gas system while delivering the proven M14/M1A operating design in a shorter package.
The barrel is carbon steel with 6-groove rifling and a 1:11 RH twist, optimized for .308 Win/7.62×51 NATO. The action is the classic gas-operated, rotating bolt system, and the trigger is a two-stage, National Match tuned unit. Length of pull is 13.0 inches, and weight is approximately 8 lb 8 oz.

The black composite stock includes molded checkering, sling swivels, and a metal buttplate with trapdoor storage.
