The slide wears HK's Hostile Environment black nitrocarburized finish and includes rear serrations, an external extractor, and two transverse roll pins on the slide top. The fiber-reinforced polymer frame with molded checkering offers durable, low-maintenance construction.
Factory Meprolight Tru-Dot three-dot tritium night sights are installed, with the rear marked 'TRU DOT.' The dust cover features HK's proprietary universal accessory grooves. A captive recoil spring assembly with a polymer buffer (HK recoil reduction system) is standard.
This pistol is German proofed, with CIP N and the Ulm stag antler proof marks, and carries the BH date code for 2017 alongside 'DE' markings and the HKI – Columbus GA import mark. Serial numbers match on the slide, barrel, and import plate.
The 9mm barrel uses polygonal rifling. The pistol shares its magazine pattern with the HK P2000 9mm, adding flexibility for magazine sourcing within HK's ecosystem.
