This Special Purpose Magnum variant retains the hallmark 11-87 gas system and right-side ejection with a convenient bolt-release button. The receiver carries the "Special Purpose MAG" marking and wears a matte, non-glare finish designed to minimize reflections in the field.
The 26-inch vent-rib barrel provides a steady sighting plane with a brass front bead and a mid-rib bead. It uses the RemChoke system and ships with a Full choke tube. The barrel is chambered for both 2 3/4-inch and 3-inch shells, with 2 3/4 inch chamber compatibility specifically noted along with support for 3-inch loads.
The synthetic stock and fore-end are finished in black with textured panels for a sure hold. Sling studs are installed at the rear stock and integral to the magazine cap for easy sling attachment. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches, and the buttpad is marked Bell & Carlson.
Controls are straightforward and familiar: a cross-bolt safety with a red indicator and a bolt-release button. The overall finish is matte and non-glare across the receiver and barrel. This shotgun was made in the United States.
