This P227 is the W227-45-SP special configuration produced in the United States and factory-engraved with the PSP Liquor Control Enforcement crest. The top of the slide bears the keystone badge and 'LIQUOR CONTROL ENFORCEMENT' legend, and the serial prefix PSP0 aligns with Pennsylvania State Police procurement runs.
It uses a stainless steel slide with a black Nitron finish and a black hard-anodized aluminum-alloy frame. The full-size 4.4 inch barrel and the one-piece wraparound textured E2-style grip provide a stable, secure hold. Controls follow the familiar P-series layout with decocking lever, slide catch, and takedown lever, and it uses an external spurred hammer.
Sights are fixed 3-dot tritium night sights marked H3/MH3 for low-light visibility. The dust cover integrates a three-slot Picatinny-style accessory rail. The frame is marked SIG SAUER INC. EXETER-NH-USA, and the overall finish is a uniform black.
Chambered in .45 ACP, the P227 offers a 10+1 capacity and comes with three steel 10-round magazines. The included factory case carries a label dated 12-MAR-2015 for this configuration.
Introduced in 2013 and discontinued around 2019, the P227 in this agency-marked configuration stands out for its provenance and factory engraving, pairing collectible interest with the proven P-series operating system and control layout.
