What’s Included
- Terni Arsenal Carcano Modello 1891 bolt-action rifle (sporterized configuration)
Built on the Carcano 1891-series action with a split-bridge receiver and straight bolt handle, this rifle retains its core Italian military lineage while presenting a streamlined sporter profile. The blued steel receiver and barrel carry the TERNI cartouche on the shank and an oval inspection stamp, with a visible "1Q" serial prefix on the left shank facet.
The rifle has been configured for single-shot operation. The original en-bloc clip system has been removed/blocked and the clip opening is covered, resulting in a 1-round capacity. The barrel measures 20 inches and features external muzzle threads with no device installed.
Sighting is straightforward and practical: a barrel-mounted adjustable tangent rear sight with a flip-up sliding leaf pairs with a simplified post front sight at the muzzle. Carcano 6.5mm barrels typically feature progressive-twist rifling, and this example shows fair, serviceable rifling.
The one-piece hardwood stock is sporterized with a shortened fore-end, no upper handguard, and a steel buttplate. Sling hardware has been removed. Length of pull measures 13.75 inches, and the right side of the butt displays a painted deer silhouette. Safety controls include a rotary bolt safety and a cocking-piece safety.
