Built on a single-shot falling-block action with an external hammer and double set triggers, this Old West series Sharps is configured for precise, deliberate shooting. The steel receiver, lever, hammer, tangs, buttplate, and grip cap all wear a color case-hardened finish that contrasts cleanly with the deep blued barrel.
The 30-inch heavy half-octagon steel barrel features a crowned muzzle and factory 1:18 RH twist with 6-groove rifling, ideal for stabilizing traditional .45-70 projectiles. Barrel markings include "PEDERSOLI - SHARPS 30" ... cal. 45/70."
Sighting equipment is period-correct and range-ready: a tang-mounted vernier peep sight, an adjustable ladder rear sight, and a globe/tunnel front sight. Together, they offer fine elevation adjustment and a clear, precise front reference.
The hardwood stock shows striking tiger-striped figure with a checkered pistol-grip for secure control. Period details include a steel crescent buttplate, an inletted oval buttstock plate, and a forend retained by a transverse wedge with escutcheons. Length of pull is 14.0 inches.
