Developed as a compact service pistol and selected for the Czech National Police after trials, the P-01 design was subjected to NATO-standard testing. This example carries meaningful markings, including an NSN (1005-16-000-8619), CZ–USA Kansas City import marks, and "Made in Czech Republic," underscoring its service-oriented pedigree.
The compact 7075-T6 aluminum alloy frame keeps weight down while retaining strength, and includes an integral accessory rail with a single slot. Both the frame and slide wear a black polycoat finish. A lanyard loop at the heel is included for secure retention.
The 3.75 inch cold hammer-forged barrel supports durability and accuracy. The DA/SA system uses a decocking lever and does not include a manual thumb safety. Fixed 3-dot sights with bright dots provide a clean, consistent sight picture, and front and rear cocking serrations aid slide manipulation.
Ergonomics are enhanced by checkered black rubber grip panels with CZ medallions and an external hammer with a ring-style spur. Capacity is 10+1 rounds, and this pistol includes two 10-round steel magazines for the CZ 75 P-01/Compact pattern.
