The M&P45 Shield M2.0 is a striker-fired .45 ACP pistol built around a polymer frame with an embedded stainless-steel chassis for rigidity. The M2.0 aggressive grip texture delivers a secure purchase, and the ambidextrous manual thumb safety provides a control layout that works for left- or right-handed users. A push-button magazine release and a hinged safety trigger with a tactile reset round out the controls.
Its compact dimensions include a 3.375-inch barrel, an overall length of approximately 6.45 inches, a slim 0.99-inch width, and an unloaded weight of about 20.5 ounces. These proportions contribute to a straightforward, easy-handling .45 ACP package.
Durable materials and finishes include a stainless steel slide and barrel treated with a black Armornite finish. The slide features front and rear serrations and an external extractor. Sighting is handled by steel white-dot sights, with a white-dot front and a two-dot rear.
Operational details include a sear-deactivation/takedown system that allows disassembly without pulling the trigger. The slide is marked "CAUTION CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED."
This pistol is chambered in .45 ACP with a 7+1 capacity. It ships with five factory magazines: four 6-round stainless steel magazines and one 7-round stainless steel magazine, with a mix of flush and extended baseplates. The original factory box and owner's manual are included.
