The Legion R2 treatment brings practical upgrades to the proven P229 platform. The pistol wears the Legion Gray finish on a stainless-steel slide and aluminum-alloy frame, with factory Legion engraving that includes the chevron and "LEGION" on the top of the slide. Black checkered G10 grips with Legion medallions, front strap and trigger-guard checkering, an undercut trigger guard, and an enhanced beavertail promote a secure, consistent hold.
The DA/SA fire-control system includes SIG's SRT short-reset components paired with a Grayguns P-SAIT trigger shoe for a refined press and quick reset. A decocker provides safe transition to double-action, and the exposed spur hammer and checkered magazine release support confident, deliberate manipulation.
The R2 slide is optics-ready with the PRO footprint and arrives with a SIG Sauer ROMEO1 PRO red dot already installed. X-RAY3 Day/Night suppressor-height sights back up the optic, with a high-visibility green dot front and a suppressor-height rear. The red dot reticle offers a clear aiming reference while maintaining a low, snag-resistant profile on the slide.
Compact in size with a 3.9-inch barrel, this 9mm P229 carries a 15+1 capacity and features an integral accessory rail for lights or other rail-mounted equipment. The slide serrations at the front and rear aid in confident manipulation. Made in the USA, this example includes two factory 15-round magazines and ships with both the original case and a SIG Sauer Legion soft pistol case.
